Key Native Capabilities

1. Dynamic Island & Live Activities

When you submit a query or trigger a multi-step research task, ARMES automatically activates a Live Activity:

• Thinking State: An animated glyph on the Dynamic Island lets you know your agent is reasoning and planning its steps.
• Streaming Response: Watch token generation and response progress in real time from your Lock Screen or StandBy mode.
• Completion Checkmark: A crisp checkmark indicates the agent has completed its answer. Tapping the activity deep-links directly into the active conversation thread.

2. Control Center & Lock Screen Quick Actions (iOS 18+)

Expose quick actions across your device:

• Ask ARMES: Brings up a native system modal text field from Control Center or the Lock Screen without opening the app.
• Action Button: Map the iPhone Action Button directly to ARMES for instantaneous voice or text prompt capture.
• New Chat: Launch directly into a clean conversation tab.

3. Apple Intelligence & Siri Voice Integration

Seamlessly talk to your AI team using voice:

"Hey Siri, ask ARMES."
"Hey Siri, ask ARMES with Deep Research..."
"Hey Siri, take an ARMES note about the product launch..."

Siri connects directly to our headless native API bridge, authenticates securely via the iOS Keychain, and returns spoken answers or snippet cards in seconds.

4. CoreSpotlight On-Device Note Search

Search across your notes, folders, and snippets directly from the iOS Home Screen search bar. In alignment with our Zero Data Retention core philosophy, Spotlight indexing is strictly disabled by default. You can choose to enable it in Settings → Security, and all index data remains 100% on-device.

5. Face ID & Touch ID Workspace Lock

Add an extra layer of defense for your personal thoughts, client briefs, and confidential conversations:

• Navigate to Settings → Security → Face ID App Lock.
• When enabled, ARMES requires biometric verification every time the app opens or returns from the background.
• Even if your iPhone is unlocked and handed to a colleague or family member, your AI workspace remains sealed.

6. iPadOS Hardware Keyboard Navigation

ARMES provides full desktop-grade productivity on iPad Pro and iPad Air:

• Connect an Apple Magic Keyboard, Smart Keyboard Folio, or Bluetooth keyboard.
• Press and hold ⌘ (Command) to open the native iPadOS Discoverability HUD displaying all keyboard shortcuts.
• Navigate tabs with ⌘⌥→ / ⌘⌥←, open universal search with ⌘K, save notes with ⌘S, and close tabs cleanly with ⌘⌥W without colliding with browser defaults.

Dual-Layer Storage & Offline Resilience

Mobile operating systems can aggressively evict browser memory and localStorage when memory pressure occurs. ARMES prevents data loss through a hardened dual-layer persistence architecture:

1. Cloud Vault: All permanent conversations, messages, notes, files, and memory ledgers are synchronized in real time with your encrypted ARMES Vault.
2. Native Device Storage: In-progress drafts and active composer state are automatically mirrored to native iOS storage (Capacitor Preferences). If iOS unloads the app while you are switching to another task, your unsaved draft is seamlessly restored when you reopen ARMES.

• iPhone: iOS 16.2 or later (iOS 18.0+ recommended for Control Center widgets and modern Apple Intelligence features).
• iPad: iPadOS 16.2 or later with support for Stage Manager, Split View, and hardware keyboards.
• Apple Watch / Mac: Companion support via Siri App Shortcuts and universal web app.
