Reusable Intelligence Patterns

Crafting a nuanced, highly effective system prompt or complex analytical query often takes considerable time and testing. Once you have perfected a prompt, you shouldn't have to rewrite it from memory.

In ARMES, Prompt Templates allow you to save reusable prompt patterns, project scope them, and even attach specific Notes as persistent context.

Creating a Prompt Template

To create a template:

1. Navigate to Context → Templates or open the Context panel in Command.
2. Click Create Template.
3. Specify:
   • Title: Descriptive name (e.g., Competitive Teardown Analysis).
   • Category: Engineering, Writing, Marketing, Finance, or Custom.
   • Prompt Body: The structured prompt text. You can include placeholders like {{company_name}} or {{product_url}}.
   • Attached Notes: Select one or more existing Notes (e.g., Brand Voice Guidelines) to automatically inject whenever this template is invoked.

Using Templates in Chat

When composing a message with any agent:

• Click the Templates (Sparkles) icon in the composer toolbar, or type / directly in the message box to open the template fuzzy finder.
• Select your desired template.
• The prompt text is immediately loaded into your draft, and any attached reference notes are automatically linked to the message context.

Improve Prompt (Eco+)

Even without saving a full template, you can elevate any rough draft using Improve Prompt (available on Eco, Pro, and Ultra plans):

Draft before:
"make me a pricing strategy for a b2b app"

After Improve Prompt:
"Act as a Principal B2B SaaS Monetization Strategist. Analyze the following value proposition and develop a comprehensive 3-tier pricing strategy. Include: 1) Value metric selection, 2) Target customer persona per tier, 3) Recommended price points with feature fencing logic, and 4) Strategies for reducing churn in month one."

How to use Improve Prompt:

1. Type your initial prompt idea into the chat composer.
2. Click the Improve Prompt (magic wand) icon on the right side of the input bar.
3. Our background prompt engineering agent restructures your request, introducing optimal persona grounding, explicit deliverables, step-by-step reasoning triggers, and edge-case handling.
4. Review and edit the improved text in your composer before sending. If you prefer your original draft, click the amber Undo button to revert instantly if no changes were made after processing.
