Switching Models Mid-Conversation
You are never locked into a single model for a chat thread—even on the Free tier.
In the top-right header of standalone Chat (/chat) or the center-panel Chat Tab in Command Center (/command):
- Click the Mode Selector.
- Browse the catalog by AI Lab to see all models available in your tier pool (and preview what higher tiers unlock).
- Select any unlocked model to pin it—or switch back to Auto, Eco, or Max mode at any time.
- Your next message immediately uses the newly selected model or mode, carrying forward all prior conversation history and reference context seamlessly.
