The Memory Ledger
Review, curate, pin, and delete individual atomic facts in your Memory Ledger: In-Use vs Needs-Review workflows.
Managing Your Atomic Facts
The Memory Ledger (/settings → Personalization → Memory Ledger) is the interactive audit log of everything your AI teammates know about you.
Every piece of information is stored as a single, discrete atomic fact rather than an unstructured text blob. This makes it trivial to correct false assumptions, update changing preferences, or purge sensitive details.

In-Use vs. Needs-Review
To balance intelligent continuity with user sovereignty, ARMES organizes memories into two distinct stages:
1. In-Use (Active Ledger)
Facts in the In-Use tab are active and eligible for inclusion in the agent's identity envelope:
- Automatic Activation: Everyday durable facts extracted from your conversations auto-activate into the In-Use ledger.
- Pinned Facts: You can click the Pin icon on essential facts (e.g., your company's core tech stack or primary mission) so they are always prioritized in every prompt envelope.
- Hide from Ambient: Toggle Hide on a fact to keep it stored in your ledger without injecting it into ambient background prompts.
- Edit & Delete: Modify phrasing at any time or purge the fact with a single click.
2. Needs Review
The Needs Review queue holds candidate facts that require explicit user affirmation before activating:
- Trigger Conditions: History backfill candidates, sensitive disclosures, disputed facts, and items flagged for confirmation wait here.
- The fact remains inactive and is never visible to agents until approved.
- Actions:
- Keep / Approve: Moves the fact into the active In-Use ledger.
- Edit: Refine the statement.
- Discard: Permanently purges the candidate fact.
Provenance & Trust Badges
Every fact in the Memory Ledger displays a verifiable Trust Badge indicating exactly where it originated:
You said this: Manually asserted in settings. From onboarding: Extracted during your Welcome Journey. You asked me to remember: Explicitly commanded directly in chat. From a conversation: Automatically extracted from a recent thread. From your history: Extracted during an opt-in historical backfill pass.Inferred: Synthesized by conversational context.
Anatomy of a Memory Card
Each entry in the Memory Ledger displays rich audit metadata:

+-------------------------------------------------------------+Deleting Memories
Deleting a memory is instantaneous and permanent:
- Locate the fact in the ledger.
- Click the Trash icon.
- The fact is immediately removed from your database and vector index. It will never appear in any future context envelope.
